SCHOOL HOLIDAY FUN🤎
We’re getting creative in the kitchen this week!
Let’s Make Chocolate Bliss Balls!
Looking for an easy activity, the whole family can enjoy these school holidays?
Head into the kitchen and make a batch of chocolate bliss balls together!
There are lots of little jobs to share — measuring, pouring, helping to blend the ingredients (with adult supervision), rolling and coating — so everyone can have a turn and join in their own way.
You’ll need:
• 1 cup (90g) rolled oats
• 2 tablespoons cacao or cocoa powder
• 12 pitted fresh dates
• 1 cup (80g) desiccated coconut
• 2 tablespoons maple syrup
• Extra desiccated coconut for rolling
Let’s make them!
With an adult helping, process the oats, cocoa, dates, coconut and maple syrup in a food processor until the mixture is well combined.
Put the extra coconut onto a plate, roll portions of the mixture into balls and then roll each one through the coconut.
Pop them in the fridge for about an hour to firm up — then enjoy!
Make it inclusive💛
Not everyone enjoys the same textures, smells or getting sticky hands — and that’s absolutely okay.
One person might measure, another might pour, someone can operate the food processor with adult supervision, while someone else takes on the messy job of rolling.
Children can use a spoon or gloves if they don't want the mixture on their hands or simply choose which part of the activity they'd like to do.
It’s a lovely opportunity to slow down, interact, laugh, work together and make something as a family.
Because school holiday activities don’t need to be complicated to create some pretty special moments together💛
Who would be your family’s official taste tester😋
